
We have various fitness classes, which take place in the club they are friendly enjoyable classes run by experienced teachers/instructors.
Dance Aerobics with Kath
A funky, fresh and most definitely fun! Hip-hop influenced dance instruction in the form of a modern fitness workout class. Begin with a great funky dance tempo warm up, followed by step-by-step dance instruction performed with an up-beat pulse-racing tempo.
Zumba
This new exercise phenomenon is coming to Pontefract Squash and Leisure Club on a Thursday night at 6.45 starting on April 28th.
Body Tone with Gill
All over bodywork out 20/20, 20 minutes Aerobics, 20 abdominal, not forgetting the upper body, excellent for toning the arms. A class not to be missed.
Hip Bums, Thighs with Gill
Burns tons of calories with about half the impact of running and it gives your bum and legs an amazing workout. It’s fun and entertaining especially as our instructor is enthusiastic and the participants are motivated.
Yoga with Marlene
Yoga offers us a holistic approach to body, mind and spirit, which can provide us with the ‘tools’ to cope with the challenges of daily life. Yoga can also complement medical science and therapy for specific conditions.
Pilate’s with Melanie
The Pilate’s method represents a unique approach to exercise that develops body awareness, improving and changing the bodies postural and alignment habits and increasing flexibility and ease of movement.
Circuits with Ian
An intense workout of all muscle groups. Train the heart through cardio exercise bringing the heart rate up to a maximum and then lowering the heart rate at a steady pace. The strengthening aspect of the class will be working all muscle groups to tone and sculpt. This class will also be trained in flexibility and thus enhance balance. A well-rounded class you will not want to miss.
Spinning
Thai Boxing with Glen
A class consists of an aerobic warm up, basic exercise and stretching continuing on the Thai Boxing techniques using various training methods such as pad work, heavy bag, partner, etc., and then warm-down and stretching. Separate FIGHTERS classes for the hard core include advance fitness and flexibility, body conditioning and sparring.

Five a Side Football Hall
We have a five-a-side football Hall for hire. Roller-skating and Go-Karting also take place in the Hall. The Hall is also available for other activities.
