The Club Championships
These are always well attended with many categories open to enter. The ultimate accolade is being crowned Club Champion and having your name included on the role of honour alongside many notorious former Champions.
This is a competition instigated in memory of one of the clubs former characters. It is designed to ensure every participant, regardless of ability, has an equal chance of winning due to the handicap system that is used. So if you fancy playing James Willstrop with 10 start (and the serve) make sure you don’t miss this event.
Summer Leagues
As the title suggests is a squash competition held during the summer months in a League format. Teams comprise of 5 players of varying standards who play on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays of each week culminating in the finals night where the champions are determined. This competition usually starts in May and concludes in July and again is suitable for all ages and abilities.
Doubles Nights
These are held throughout the year as appropriate. This is a fun night whereby each person has a ‘lucky (or not so lucky) dip’ to decide their playing partner. Matches are then played for a specific period of time and the points scored during that time are recorded and added together at the end of the evening to produce semi finals and then a final. A buffet and a few drinks follow to round off the night.
