From introducing the fundamentals to our youngest beginners, aged three and up, to nurturing the talents of elite athletes competing at the international level, we provide a supportive and challenging environment for every junior squash player. uniors at Pontefract Squash Club benefit from diverse coaching opportunities, encompassing both group and individual sessions, all within a nurturing and secure environment. Our club is renowned for its consistent production of high-caliber players from its junior ranks. We provide ample competitive opportunities through our annual junior tournament schedule, featuring a Challenger event and a prestigious Gold tournament that is a staple of the England Squash calendar.
SQUASH CAMPS
We are holding several camps for advanced and development players during the year in school holidays which will be delivered by James Willstrop – contact the club for details. For information relating to England Squash sanctioned junior events click on the logo
WALK IN
Beginner sessions are available on Saturdays 9am-10am and Sundays 10.30 – 12.30pm with the option to progress to the ‘Willstrop Squash’ development programme which are held weekday evenings and is suitable for any junior who shows potential and has the commitment to improve their play.
Mark your calendars! Pontefract Squash Club is thrilled to announce the return of the prestigious Dunlop Pontefract Gold with Apps Anywhere. This highly anticipated tournament will take place from June 20th to 22nd, 2025. Please note: the closing date for entries is Sunday, May 25th, 2025 – nearly a month prior to the tournament itself.
A highlight on the England Squash calendar, this not-to-be-missed tournament will showcase top junior talent across our eight courts, including five state-of-the-art glass-backed courts. With ample on-site parking and our kitchen serving hot food and refreshing drinks throughout the day, you can fully immerse yourself in the thrilling matches and vibrant atmosphere. We are exceptionally grateful to Dunlop and AppsAnywhere for their continued support in making this event a resounding success.
